Thank You for Leaving
Thank you for leaving.
At first glance you may assume I am referring to the nuisance, the lazybones, the abuser or the misfit. I’m not.
I’m referring to the person who has done a good job and has completed their assignment. The person who chooses to move onto the next challenge rather than to sit on their laurels and lick the sweets.
Thank you for leaving because it keeps you sharp. It keeps you dependent upon the LORD for the leadership of His Spirit rather than trusting in the tactics in your tried and true playbook.
Thank you for leaving so that those who have been blessed by you always remember that their loyalty is to the God you serve and not to you.
Thank you for leaving because it opens opportunities for others. The void created by you leaving will be filled. And prayerfully, by someone different from you, but just as Spirit-filled as you. And your Joshua will bring the organization closer to the realization of its divine purpose.
You came. You worked faithfully. You finished your portion. Thank you for leaving so the next servant leader can do theirs.
