Aeolians Showed Out at North Philadelphia
The Aeolians of Oakwood College came to North Philadelphia Seventh-day Adventist Church on Sunday, May 7 at 4 p.m. This was their final Philadelphia performance under the direction of Mr. Lloyd B. Mallory, Jr. Talk about an awesome sound! Whew! They practically blew the roof off this huge sanctuary.
I must say that my sound guys did an EXCELLENT job tonight. It's kinda hard to hear yourself on the platform/choir stand at times, but they still did an excellent job.
The Aeolians are so versatile! They REALLY did spirituals. And they REALLY did whatever that Paul Johnson Singers style is. And they REALLY did the anthems that Gwen and Allen who direct the Ebenezer choir do. I told my church at the end of the concert that that's what I want our music program to be like -- something for EVERYBODY. It was just awesome.
Glad we were able to have them.
